Front conveyor idler replacement.

Will need to remove front nose of conveyor.

 Be sure to block up conveyor.

 Drop the front pans and let hang on hinge at rear, no need to completely remove them

 Cut off the lip that hangs down that the old idlers were tensioned with, grind flush.

 bolt in new idler and snug bolts with idler slide to the back in the adjustment slots. 

 Tack adjusters in position  (square head goes against the idler) then slide idlers to the front.

 Weld in new adjusters with the square head of the jack bolt against the idler. 

Clean surface and pre heat to 450* before finish welding.

 put chain back together and tension, Check tension with the deck down and idler adjustment bolts tight.  (please use tensioning guide)

 when the adjustment is finished torque the two Allen bolts that go through the deck to 155 FTLB

 

  the shim under this idler is for HD chains only
