SUBJ: Handling of Caustic Material with Distributor, Tack Distributor, and Tack Tanks

Machine Model: MAX2, MAX3, MAX4, TD600, TDC600, L150, L300, L600

Serial Numbers: All Units

Action Requested: Information Only

Issue Description: As the Asphalt industry has continued to evolve and improve material durability, the chemical composition of asphalt and bonding material continues to vary based on region, manufacturer, and the intended application.

As such, improved awareness and maintenance of Distributor maintenance is needed. It has come to LeeBoy’s attention that Catatonic solutions, especially Trackless tack variants, where excessive hydrochloric acid is used during manufacturing, are at an increased risk to cause corrosion of the storage tanks. Preventative measures should be taken to mitigate the risk of corrosion on the critical components.

Action Detail:
Please read the attached advisory BELOW detailing the best practices for maintenance and expected care of Distributor trucks in this changing environment. LeeBoy reserves the right to evaluate use case and expected customer care and maintenance when determining if tank corrosion is a unwarrantable event.
